Antique Cast Iron Bench, Oak & Ivy

Substantial antique Victorian cast iron garden bench with scrolled oak leaves and acorns with ivy backing, rounded scolled arms terminating in lion's heads, slatted wooden seat, oak leaf rail, on arched legs ending in paw feet. Lovely detail, heavy cast pieces bolted together.

Originally a Coalbrookdale design in the 'Oak and Ivy' pattern which was copied by the American foundries in the late 19th century.

In very good condition given age and use.
