Vintage English galvanized dolly tub with soap dish and point in the rim for easy pouring of water. On hold until 5/9.
Dolly tubs were used over a 150 years ago in England for hand-washing clothes and linens before washing machines were available to the average household. The original dolly tubs were made of wood with iron banding; galvanized tubs, which were much lighter and easier to clean, were introduced in the late 1800s. Today these tubs make great planters for small trees or shrubs or storage bins for an assortment of items.
