Pair of Large Cranes with Prey

Pair of Large English Lead Cranes with beaks turned upward. Over 5 feet tall, these cranes are well executed with their long necks and stream lined bodies, delineated tail feathers and wing feathers. Male and female cranes are very similar in appearance and only differ slightly in size. The lead     base is embellished with fish underneath their long attenuated webbed feet, adding a dimension and detail that is charming.

This English lead mold is based upon the 19th century Japanese style.  Historically, cranes have been a symbol of happiness and eternal youth.
