Norwich Insurance Plaque, lead

Norwich Insurance Plaque in lead showing one's castle with a lion protector. In the 18th and 19th centuries, these were hung on the exterior of a house after the owner paid for an insurance policy. Only when the firemen saw the plaque, would they put the fire out!
