Antique Cast Iron Benches
A pair of antique gothic style garden benches. This bench is thought to have been designed between 1830 and 1840 and first cast by James Yates in Rotherham. The pattern was copied by American foundries including Janes, Kirtland & Co.
Benches have a gothic tracery pattern of the semicircle in the armrests and the quatrefoil design of the backrest. Late 19th C., extremely heavy pair and in very good condition
