Antique Stone Cider Press

A square stone antique cider press used to gather and drain the cider from pressed apples. The last picture shows a fully assembled cider press. In very good condition given its age and use.

This press could be a stunning water feature with just a spout or antique cast iron pump running water over the press and into a small reservoir. A while back, we put two cider presses together to create a fountain, click here to see pictures. Usually stone cider presses are simple and utilitarian, but this example has a bit of flair, with both cut corners in the back and rounded corners ending with two sweeping curves at the front of the press.
