Antique Stone Architectural Facade

Beautiful temple-like ruin with well-proportioned pediment, raking cornice resting on Corinthian capitals, with simple Ionic columns on a square plinth.  The structure sits on raised feet with carved leaf detail and has a lovely reed and ribbon astragal molding. With its structural framework, this piece lends itself to many possibilities; a ruin, a memorial, a mirrored garden ornament, or a wall fountain with a spout or mask in the center.  This late 18th century brownstone structure from England was most probably commissioned as a commemorative piece.  Because of its age, this piece should be placed in a sheltered location outdoors.
